To begin my research i collected a series of Christmas cards that have already bee on the shelves or the are being sold today. I have collected a varied range of styles to give me a good range to work form to generate initial ideas.
Here i wanted to consider what cards are on the market at the present time and why they work and what techniques could i gain form them to incorporate into my cards.
Again the use of simple shapes appeal to me. Definitely something to consider.
An easy way to use shapes and geometry to create christmas like imagery in a new contemporary style. i like the simple but clear colour way.Along with the relevant christmassy type.
Initial thoughts are to use type to create my cards. This design brings both type and image together in a unique and visually appealing. I ill take this idea into consideration.
I like the clean shapes of the christmas trees and the bright vibrant colours in contrast to the brown. i think it works really well and maybe something i should consider.
Simple, 2 colour design. similar to the ipod adverts in a way, which people may recognise and relate to.
i am drawn to the simple colour way and design that some of the cards here had. i think they would work effectively.
